his lady fair; she is the vulture king's mate, chosen by him and second in command. only her mate or a unanimous decision by the council can overrule her. not challengeable.
the council; consists of four highly respectable horses. they can be as powerful as the lady fair. the vulture king hand picks the council. not challengeable.
the scholar; the vulture king's adviser and memory keeper. has no real say, just a nice title and respect.
the warriors; the stallions of the herd. they defend and protect the concubines and the scholar.
the concubines; the brood mares.
